A case has been filed against 18 people, including Hefazat’s joint secretary general Mamunul Haque, in connection with the violence at Baitul Mukarram on the golden jubilee of independence (March 26).

On Monday (April 5), Dhaka Metropolitan South Juba League deputy office secretary Khandaker Arifuzzaman filed a case with the Paltan Police Station.

The accused mentioned in the case are– 1. Allama Mamunul Haque (Joint Secretary General), II. Maulana Falayed Al Habib (Joint-Secretary General), 3. Maulana Lokman Hakim (Joint-Secretary General), 4. Nasir Uddin Monir (Joint-Secretary General), 5. Maulana Bahauddin Zakaria (Nayeb Amir), 6. Maulana Nurul Islam Jehadi (Mathjan, Dhaka), 6. Majedur Rahman (Nayeb Amir, Brahmanbaria), 6. Maulana Habibur Rahman (Lalbagh, Dhaka), 9. Maulana Khaled Saifullah Ayubi,

10. Maulana Jasim Uddin (Assistant Secretary General, Lalbagh), 11. Maulana Masudul Karim (Tongi, co-organizer), 12. Mufti Monir Hossain Kashemi (Finance Secretary), 13. Maulana Zakaria Noman Faizi (Publicity Secretary) 14. Maulana Faisal Ahmed (Mohammadpur, Dhaka), 15. Maulana Mushtaqunnabi (Assistant Dawah Editor), 16. Maulana Hafeez Md. Jober (Student and Youth Secretary) and 16. Maulana Hafeez Md. Tayyab (Office Secretary).

It has been said in the case that the unidentified accused including the above accused created anarchic situation by carrying out violence in different places of the metropolis including Baitul Mukarram.

At 4:30 pm on March 26, accused No. 1 Maulana Mamunul Haque met with the accused inside the Baitul Mukarram Mosque and met with anonymous Jamaat-Shibir-BNP, militant fundamentalist leaders and planned to attack the government with pre-planned rumors.

As a result, under the direct direction of the 1st accused, conspiracy and operation, 2 to 3000 unidentified persons including the 2nd to 18th accused, Jamaat-Shibir-BNP militant activists from all over the country including.Brahmanbaria, Chittagong Hathazari, Rastaghat, Hathazari Police Station, Brahmanbar, Brahmanba. He set fire to important installations and houses in various parts of the country including Jatrabari, vandalized and looted.

Led by the 1st accused, the 2-16 accused and other unidentified accused are conspiring to overthrow the government by insulting Father of the Nation Bangabandhu, violating the constitution, destroying state property,

vandalizing mosques and turning the country into an unstable, ineffective, fundamentalist state. Witnesses will prove the facts and various pieces of evidence will be presented during the investigation.
